Uni-Verse ("we", "our", "the App") is a productivity and university-discovery app for students in Egypt. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
When you sign in using Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive basic profile information from that provider, including:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile picture (if available)
We also collect information you create while using the App, including:
- Tasks, due dates, priorities, and categories you create
- Planner entries and schedules
- Notes and tags you write
- Achievement and progress data (badges, streaks, points)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the core features of the App (tasks, planner, notes, achievements)
- To personalize your experience (e.g. greeting you by name, showing relevant reminders)
- To improve the App and fix bugs
- To communicate with you about updates or support requests
- To display advertisements and offer premium features (see Section 6)
3. Third-Party Services
Uni-Verse uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication and data storage
- Google Sign-In, Facebook Login, Apple Sign-In — for account creation and login
- Google AdMob — displays advertisements to free-tier users
- RevenueCat — manages subscription purchases and entitlements
These providers may process your data according to their own privacy policies.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Firebase, with access restricted to your own account. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@uni-verse.co. You can also delete your account directly from within the App under Settings. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Advertising & Subscriptions
Uni-Verse may display advertisements to free users and offer a premium subscription with additional features, including a free trial period. Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation details are described in our Terms of Service.
On iOS, we may ask for permission to use your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads. You can decline this at any time in your device's tracking settings — the App works normally either way, showing non-personalized ads instead.
7. Children's Privacy
Uni-Verse is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@uni-verse.co.
9. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Uni-Verse may display information about universities and academic programs sourced from third parties or public sources. We do our best to keep this information accurate but cannot guarantee it is complete, current, or error-free. Always verify important details directly with the university.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
